Jean was extremely fond of Helpston and John Clare country where many of her father's ancestors had lived. Hence we have chosen the John Clare Countryside project. It aims to double nature throughout each of the 21 parishes in the John Clare Countryside, increase key indicator species and levels of public engagement, understanding and participation in the natural and built heritage of the area."
